Storage Logistics

Brandl Transport GmbH owns (through Mr. Brandl's property company) and operates dedicated warehouses for the intermediate and/or longtime storage of artworks and valuable householdgoods in a central location in Cologne. The warehouses with approx. 8000 sqm are checked and aprooved according to the standars of "VDS", an affiliate of the "Gesamtverband der Deutschen Versicherungswirtschaft (GDV)". "VDS" is member of the European Fire and Security Group. Based on the preliminary security audit our company was provided a General Insurance Coverage ("all risks"), with the Viktoria Insurance Group as lead insurer.

Brandl Transport GmbH was assigned a General Certficate according to Class C, number SG 4, which includes the full integration of security measurements for the exterior surface of the buildings.

All doors / gates are reinforced according to VDS-standards, and are equipped with mechanical and electronical security . Windows (if any) are equipped with steel grids, and with sensors to record any breakage. Room surveillance is guaranteed by various infrared- sensors.

Storage area A is on ground level, storage area B ( Strongroom) is underfloor. Area B can be entered only through (a) either a staircase or (b) by elevator. All areas are equipped with fire detectors.

All security systems are set-up and installed by a VDS-certified company, the security surveillance is provided by a VDS-certified security company. In case of any attack to the system, security surveillance operates own security staff , and makes immediate contact with the police.
